- Did you join an organization to connect, share, and gain knowledge for success, or was it because you wanted to look good on your resume?
- One of the main things you should remember, you only get back from an organization that you have put into it. Some meetings are like the Tater Sister Skit; Instigator, Agitator, Irritater, and Participator. You have seen them all:
The instigator is the sister that instigates negative feelings and other problems for the group.
The agitator is the one who agitates and pesters all. She does not contribute but gets jealous of those who did.
Irritater is the one who stays irritated by every suggestion. "We have never done it that way before".
Participator- one that shares the tasks at hand, gets along with others, and promotes the organization.
Are you a participator? Do you connect and share with others like the organization was designed to do? There are many avenues online to promote organizations like Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and Google Plus..all important, but the most important is your own website. It is your newsletter so to speak where you gain knowledge and share with others... Start now and promote your group at least once daily by word of mouth, by phone. by email, by social media, or post on the website.
Be known by your participation.
