Flowers Are God's Art Work

Flowers are the most delicate and beautiful of God's creations. Each time I see a field of wildflowers it takes my breath away. Their faces are turned toward the sun. They stand in wind, rain, and sunshine for their nourishment. Some bloom all year round while others appear within a season. For example, the violet's head appears in February where I lived in Florida.
The violet was one of my favorites because my Grandma Anna loved them so. When I was little I always picked her a bunch and watched that smile come on her face. She would gently take them and pat me on the head with a thank you. You could tell she loved them because her big brown eyes sparkled when she looked at them. As I grew older I continued to carry her that bouquet of sweet violets.
My Mother loved flowers as well. She would take a cutting from a bush and plant it. Up it would come and grow like a weed. She always shared cuttings of her flowers with friends and neighbors. She had a "green" thumb. As for me, the only way I could have that green thumb was to paint it green. For some reason, Geraniums were the only flowers I could grow.

After the passing of my grandmother and my mother, I missed their beautiful beds of flowers.
Upon my retirement, I looked for something to do. That was a turning point for me. I started to
do the artwork. My subject always turned to flowers. Of course I painted other subjects, but always turned back to flowers. As I studied these beautiful, delicate flowers I decided that only God could have created them. Yes, flowers are God's artwork.
