How Do You Engage People

We read many things about successful living with inspirational quotes, e-books, and from those who lead in the empowering message field. They make you feel good but they only last as long as it takes to read them if you don't follow through. It is not the people with the empowering messages that bother me. It's that nitty-gritty where do I start. Where do I begin. Did the message go in one ear and out the other because we think we are too busy to take action.

First, take a look at how you engage people. 90 % of success is getting along with people.

Secondly, How well do you engage with others. How well do you communicate both the oral and written word. Do you need a brush up course in speaking and writing?

Thirdly, are you a good listener or are you too busy thinking about what you want to say and don't hear what the person has to say?
Fourth, are you neat in appearance? Are you dressed appropriately for the occasion or do people tend to overlook you because of the way you look. Is it the lack of self-care?

Are you up-to-date on technical skills they take you in the new way we communicate in today's world.

All these subjects remind me of courses that were developed by companies and organizations to help many employees and members improve their image and gain respect. The need is still here. We all can improve.

What are your weakness and what are your strengths? Go through the list and start your journey. Re-enforce your strengths. Start to work on your weakness taking courses at work, an organization you belong to or local community centers. Do one thing daily.

Begin your list
1. Know how to engage people
2. Be a good listener.
3. Improve the written word
4. Improve public speaking
5. Improve your appearance
6. Improve your techology.
